Reservation Paperwork:
The following documentation must accompany all reservation requests in order for them to be processed. Approval process is five (5) business days due to an increased demand and paperwork review.

A Ramada May Be Reserved:

• Online: click here.  An ACTIVE Net account is required for online reservations.
• In Person: visit one of our recreation facilities during business hours, including Escalante Community Center, Kiwanis Recreation Center, North Tempe Multi-Gen Center, Pyle Adult Recreation Center, or Westside Multi-Gen Center.
• By Phone: call 480-350-5200 to connect with a City of Tempe staff person to reserve over the phone.

Ramadas may be reserved up to 11 months in advance by Tempe residents/Tempe-based companies, and up to 3 months in advance by non-residents/non-Tempe based companies for picnics.  A ramada is $25.00 for a Tempe resident, $50.00 for a non-Tempe resident.

Ramadas are Reservable in the Following Parks:

• North of 202 Loop: Evelyn Hallman, Papago 
• North of US 60: Clark, Daley, Escalante, Esquer (east of 101), Hollis, Parque de Soza, Jaycee 
• South of US 60: Kiwanis

Non-reservable ramadas are available on a first come, first served basis.

Wanting to Reserve 3+ Ramadas Together or Have 100+ People in Attendance?

If yes, instead of reserving a ramada you will need to fill out and submit a Large Group Reservation Request Form.  Go to the "Large Group" section of this webpage.

• Large group reservation areas are available at Kiwanis Park: Fiesta Ramadas, Ruben Romero, and Sister Cities.
• Groupings of other ramadas at other parks may be considered depending on the nature of the request.

Beer Permit Guidelines:
Fee: $15 Resident/$20 Non-Resident/$25 Large Group Reservation.  Beer permit guidelines can be found here.

Vendors/Certificate of Insurance (COI) Requirements:

Do you intend to have a third-party vendor provide a service on site at your reservation, including inflatables, food trucks/vendors, game trucks and other services? If yes, your request must be submitted a minimum of 10 days in advance of the reservation date for review and approval.

• Vendors must have valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) documentation on file with Tempe Parks & Recreation. Click here for a list of pre-approved vendors, who have already provided the required documentation.
  • Scheduled a service with a pre-approved vendor? Great! We just need proof of the scheduled service.  E-Mail a copy of a receipt or confirmation of scheduled service to pkrec@tempe.gov.
• A vendor that has not been approved should submit their documentation via e-mail to pkrec@tempe.gov.  Vendors who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.

Ramada Locations (within Kiwanis Park):
Ruben Romero Corporate Picnic Area - accommodate up to 750
Fiesta Ramadas - accommodate up to 250 people
Tempe Sister Cities Garden - accommodate up to 200 people

Reservations:
Ramadas may be reserved 11 months in advance by Tempe residents/Tempe-based companies, and 3 months in advance by non-residents/non-Tempe based companies for picnics. Specific start time is required, and facility is then reserved for your group up until 10 PM. 

First-Time Reservation:
If this is your first time making a reservation request, you must make your request in person to a Tempe community/multi-generational center, including  Escalante Community Center, Kiwanis Recreation Center, North Tempe Multi-Generational Center and Westside Multi-Generational Center.
 
Provide proof of Tempe Residency with picture identification AND one of the following: Utility Bill, Phone Bill, or Rental Agreement within the last 30 days that includes your name and Tempe address.

Application:
A Large Group & Tournament Reservation Request Form must be submitted at least 30 days before the event.

Electricity:
Please note that electricity is not available for any park reservation. Plan accordingly if you need a power source.

Beer Permit Fee:
$15 Resident/$20 Non-Resident

$25 for permit use at Fiesta Ramadas (all), Ruben Romero Corporate Area and Sister Cities Garden.
