Background
Fifth Street between Farmer and College avenues is a collector street in downtown Tempe that connects: City Hall, Police/Courts, Mill Avenue, ASU, Sun Devil Stadium, Transportation Center, light rail, transit service, mixed-use development, multi-family housing, hotels, Hayden Butte, historic and redeveloping neighborhoods.
The project has been revised and will now include:
- Paving and restriping of the roadway
- Continuous bike lanes
- Possible reconfiguration of the city hall west side parking lot

Project Status
Paving is currently scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024/25.
