  • Communications Dispatcher – Answers and dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls as a 24-hour resource and link between those in need of help and those providing help in the community, such as police officers, firefighters and staff in other departments.  Helps coordinate the response to incidents by police officers or staff from multiple departments.  
  • Community Responder – Acts in a quasi-police officer capacity performing investigative work, special crime prevention functions, and limited enforcement in support of the organization's mission. 
  • Detention Officer – Protects our community by overseeing the safe detention and transport of arrestees and those jailed for misdemeanor offences while providing 24-hour help to Tempe police officers and professional staff, the courts and other law enforcement agencies.  
  • Forensic Technician – Supports police officers, detectives and other investigators by collecting and analyzing evidence, photographing evidence and crime scenes and managing items to help solve crimes. 
  • Police Research Data Analyst – Supports the mission to reduce crime in our community by gathering and analyzing data to make long-term recommendations which allow department command and officers in the field to more efficiently and accurately deploy resources, apprehend offenders and reduce crime. 
  • Property Technician – Supports police officers, professional staff and the community by securely transporting property; maintaining items which may be of evidentiary value for investigative or court proceedings; maintaining property held until return to the owner; or destroying items which need to be safely disposed.  Maintains records of property chain of custody.  
  • Records Specialist – Supports the community and department by ensuring the safe archive of police records, crime information, documents related to investigations and reports while maintaining various databases and producing public records upon request.  Contact the Hiring Manager
  • Tactical Crime & Intel Analyst – Supports the mission to reduce crime in our community by gathering and analyzing data related to active criminal offenses and investigations to allow officers and detectives in the field to apprehend offenders quickly.
