Car Seat Checks - Wednesdays By Appointment
Every year thousands of young children are killed or injured in car crashes. Child safety seats, when properly installed, save lives. Tempe Fire Medical Rescue offers a car seat inspection program to make sure you have installed your car seat correctly. Installed car seats are inspected on Wednesday's by appointment only. You can schedule your appointment here.
Fire Extinguisher Training
The use of a fire extinguisher in the hands of a trained adult can be a life and property saving tool. However, a majority of adults have not had fire extinguisher training and may not know how and when to use them. Fire extinguisher use requires a sound decision making process and this training will help ensure that you have the confidence and skills necessary to take action should a fire occur.
Secure Lockbox Program
The Secure Lockbox Program is free and intended primarily for elderly residents who are physically challenged or have a medical condition with a probability that it be necessary to call 9 1 1 for medical assistance. Residents are asked to provide a copy of their keys to put in the lockbox and a confidential code is assigned to your lockbox. The code is entered into the fire department's database and allows emergency personnel access to the home instead of using forced entry.
