Community Risk Reduction

The Community Risk Reduction Division serves the citizens of Tempe by protecting life, property and the environment by preventing emergencies before they happen. This is achieved by providing fire and life safety inspections, community education and investigation services to enhance public safety and improve emergency responders' ability to manage an incident. 

ASU Residential and Off Campus Safety

Every year, college students experience a number of fire-related emergencies. The Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Department responds to all fire and emergency medical calls on campus.

Community Outreach

Our Public Education Specialist is available to make presentations to schools, organizations or businesses about our community programs.
