City of Tempe, AZ
Home MenuAdaptive Streets
Adaptive street strategies are tools that can be used temporarily and at a low cost to adapt the public right-of-way and use space differently to address changing community needs. Adaptive streets are meant to be implemented quickly, but the implementation is temporary. Long-term infrastructure changes require a broad public involvement process and design and construction document development.
Adaptive Streets Implementation Design Guide PDF: provides a suite of tools and processes that can allow the City to be responsive to rapid changes in the needs and demands of roadways.
