The City of Tempe operates three community recycling centers.  Residents can commingle, or mix, all accepted recyclables into the containers; it is unnecessary to separate the various items.  Accepted recyclables include:  broken down cardboard boxes, paper, food boxes, mail, beverage cans, food cans, glass bottles, glass and plastic jars, jugs and plastic bottles and caps.

Do not bag recyclables.

Plastic grocery bags are not accepted; these can be recycled at your local grocery store.
