Pavement Quality Index (PQI)
While the City of Tempe is expanding high-speed fiber access we are also mindful of the impact construction has on our roadways. The City is moving forward with a Pavement Quality Acceleration project, contingent on the bond election scheduled for November 2024, fiber licenses will be issued in coordination with the PQI program. Licensees will be provided with projected maps of its anticipated the City’s pavement quality work, which may affect licensees’ access to the right-of-way in certain areas during the project. These pavement maps and schedules are meant for the sole purpose of City of Tempe planning efforts. The City reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend these maps and schedules at any time for any reason, including, but not limited to, the outcomes of the bond election.
