The popularity of bicycles in Tempe is evident and as a result, the theft of bicycles has become increasingly profitable. Bicycle registration was designed to aid in the recovery of lost or stolen bicycles by providing unique identifying information that can help the Police Department identify and return found bikes to their owners.
