An eligible candidate not selected may remain on our list and be certified for other vacancies within the same job classification as they occur. An eligibility list is valid for a minimum of six months.
Current City of Tempe employees must apply through PeopleSoft HR Self-Service.
To be eligible for an internal recruitment process, you must have completed your initial probationary period at time of application.

Pre-employment requirements may include:
Post offer/pre-employment physical exam paid by the city and completed by a city designated physician based upon job-related physical standards
Criminal history background investigation
Post offer/pre-employment drug screen
Verification of identity and work authorization
Some positions may also require a police background check, psychological evaluation and/or polygraph test
