The City of Tempe works to offer opportunities for play, shaded spaces, and comfort in our neighborhood parks.
Thank you to all of the neighbors who provided input on the location and design of ramadas for Svob Park! The feedback received showed support for two 20’ x 20’ picnic ramadas. One ramada will be located northeast of the basketball court, and one northeast of the playground.
The improvements are funded out of the city’s Capital Improvement Program budget, as part of the Parks Improvement Plan, which is reinvesting more than $60 million into Tempe parks over the next five years . Additional modifications or enhancements to other park amenities are not included in the budgeted amount.
