The City of Tempe provides arts grants to non-profit organizations, teachers & individual artists who are providing arts and cultural experiences in Tempe that enhance, educate, and enrich the community. More

The City of Tempe brings arts to neighborhood parks. Residents and the city work together to build an event that brings neighbors together through arts and culture activities that reflect the identity and values of the park's community. More

Edna Vihel Arts Center is a facility for community members to enjoy a variety of arts and culture related classes and programs in Tempe. Classes are for youth and adults and include ceramics, painting, dance, music, theater, and more! More

Free Art Friday is an event for families and their children ages 1-5. Each event's arts and music activities, snack, sensory play and decorations are based on a theme which changes each month. Free Art Friday allows caregivers and their little ones to explore and create together through art projects, imaginative play, music and movement. This program is partially funded by a grant from the Tempe Diablos. 

 

Tempe Playlist is a musician development program designed to support local Valley musicians and spread awareness to residents about the artists who live, work or play in their "backyard." Selected musicians receive professional development opportunities and are paid to have a song placed on the "Tempe Playlist" on Spotify. The playlists are currently available to stream on Spotify and our website. More

Tempe Jam is a free, annual music celebration to honor and highlight local bands and musicians who live, work, or play in Tempe. The Jam also features art activities, performances, food trucks, and a beer garden. More

Studio Artists Residencies provide visual arts education to over 4,500 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. It also supports the careers of 6 professional artists each year. The program is a partnership between Tempe Elementary District #3 and the City of Tempe. More

Music Under the Stars is a unique celebration of music by high school musicians and the Arizona Wind Symphony. Music Under the Stars offers an inclusive community atmosphere in which everyone can enjoy live music free of charge in the open air. More

Dance Tempe: High School Residencies and TCA Performance brings professional dance artists into all six Tempe Union High School District schools to teach workshops and choreography. The program culminates in a free dance showcase highlighting the students' work and the dance artists' talents. More

Art Tempe The City of Tempe and the Tempe Union High School District join together for an exhibition and celebration of visual art from the local high schools. More
