Youth Sports Mission Statement:
Tempe's youth sports programs have been designed to introduce student athletes to the sport, while providing a fun and safe environment to grow and evolve. Players learn lessons in teamwork and develop skills to help them succeed on and off the court or field.
SPORTS CAMPS
NEW: Girls 5th-8th Grade Flag Football Clinic
Whether your daughter is just getting interested in flag football or she's a seasoned player, this clinic will develop and improve her flag football skills. Coaches will introduce fundamental/skill enhancement drills that are tailored to assist all skill levels and athleticism in a fun and structured environment. Clinic skill development Monday and Wednesday evenings, Scrimmages Saturday, Nov. 23. Clinic shirt provided.
Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays Nov. 11 - Nov. 20; Saturday Nov. 23
Times: 6 - 8 p.m. 11/11-11/20; 9-1:30 p.m. 11/23
Location: Tempe Sports Complex Event Field; 8401 S. Hardy Drive
Youth Hoops Clinics; K - 8th Grade Co-Rec
- Tempe offers quality basketball instruction for K - 8th grades. Male and female student athletes of all skill levels are welcome.
- Athletes will receive camp T-shirt
- Participants will be placed into groups based on grade level
- Fundamental/skill enhancement drills
- Activities are tailored to assist all skill levels and athleticism
- In-game situational experience
Winter 2025 Camp Information
- Dates: Saturdays, January 11 - 25
- Times:
- K - 3rd grades: 10-12 p.m.
- 4th - 8th grades: 12:30-2:30 p.m.
- Location: Kiwanis Recreation Center; 6111 S. All-America Way
Speed and Agility Camp; K - 8th Grade Co-Rec
- Tempe offers quality instruction for K - 8th grades. Male and female student athletes of all skill levels are welcome.
- Athletes will receive camp T-shirt
- Participants will be placed into groups based on grade level
- Fundamental/skill enhancement drills
- Camp drills will focus on stretching techniques, hand-eye coordination, speed and agility
Winter 2025 Camp Information
- Dates: Saturdays, February 8-22
- Times:
- K - 3rd grades: 9-11 a.m.
- 4th - 8th grades: 11:30-1:30 p.m.
- Location: Tempe Sports Complex Event Field; 8401 S. Hardy Dr.
