Eligibility
- You must be in 9th-12th grade for the academic year of 2025-2026
- You must live in Tempe or attend a school in Tempe
Please note:
- This a competitive process and applying does not guarantee participation into MYAC due to limited seats. Applications are reviewed by an application committee made of of current MYAC youth commissioners along with the MYAC Advisor.
- Applicants will also need a recommendation from an adult that s not a relative. The nomination form link is in the application.

- Students will be notified of their application status by: TBA
- MYAC will return in session in September 2025 when new commissioners will have orientation and get started.
Commitment
- Commissioners can serve up to three academic years or when they graduate from high school.
- New commissioners must be able to serve at least two years.
- Commissioners must be able to attend a majority of the MYAC meetings which are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the Tempe Public Library from September to May. There are no meetings during Fall, Winter and Spring break.
