In each of the six Tempe Union High School District Schools and several of the Tempe Elementary Schools, there is a CARE 7 Youth Specialist. These Youth Specialists provide social and emotional support to students who may be struggling with stress, anger, depression, anxiety, conflict resolution, and life skills. Youth Specialists meet with students in both group and individual settings, and are available to assist during crisis situations. Students are able to meet with Youth Specialists, at no cost, for as long as needed. By increasing students’ social emotional well-being, they become far more effective in the classroom.

Because the Youth Specialists are connected to CARE 7, they have direct access to resource coordination and support, long-term follow-up, and basic need items. The Youth Specialists work to improve lives and meet the needs of not only the student, but also the family.
