Implementation:

Community Enhancement has established three (3) central strategies to further our goal of improving and upholding the condition of the City: Education, Assistance, and Enforcement.

1. Education- Our division is devoted towards raising public awareness and understanding of the City of Tempe Municipal and Zoning and Development Codes. Through a variety of communication channels such as postcards, personalized interactions with property owners, and resources available through our website, we strive to empower residents and businesses with a better understanding and the effective utilization of the city codes.
   
   
2. Assistance- Community Enhancement procures contracts with businesses, and generates partnerships with non-profit organizations in order to connect local property owners with resources to maintain and improve properties at affordable rates. Community Enhancement has over 15 different assistance programs that are available, which residents and businesses are encouraged to take advantage of.
   
   
3. Enforcement- Community Enhancement utilizes tools and best practices to enforce nuisance, zoning, and rental housing codes. We work closely with property owners to establish a collaborative and cooperative approach to reaching compliance. Our actions are carried out with professionalism, transparency, and consistency, ensuring fair and impartial treatment.
