In addition to events, the city offers many opportunities to play a sport, take a swim, get involved, try out a new hobby and have fun.

Parks + Recreation
Tempe offers more than 50 parks, three lakes for fishing, fun classes to keep you fit, exciting summer camps, free family community events, poolsrecreation centers and more. Enjoy Tempe Town Lake on your kayak, stand-up paddleboard, sailboat or canoe. Don't have a watercraft? Check out one of the many rental offerings.

Bikes + Trails 
Tempe is one of the leading bike communities in the country with over 220 miles of bikeways. The city is Bicycle Friendly Gold Certified. Grab your bike, rent a scooter, climb A Mountain, then enjoy a cool beverage or meal at a Mill Avenue stop. 

Volunteering
Lend a helping hand. Connect to your community by volunteering. Sign up to give an occasional ride to a senior or read to a local kid. For some ideas to get you started visit tempe.gov/volunteer or tempeaction.org.

Arts + Culture
See a show, take a class or visit an exhibit or gallery in Tempe! Explore all of the creative and cultural experiences the city has to offer at Tempe Center for the Arts, Tempe History Museum and Edna Vihel Arts Center. View art across the city through Tempe Public Art or engage with art for all ages through Tempe Community Arts programs. Plus, check out shows and concerts and music venues across the city.
