Based on resident request, the City of Tempe is considering the installation of speed cushions along College Avenue between Alameda Drive and Southern Avenue. Based on the City’s review, the corridor has met the criteria for traffic calming as outlined in the City of Tempe Neighborhood Traffic Calming Guide. The city is surveying properties outlined on the map in the neighborhoods of Nu-Vista and Brentwood Cavalier in order to determine if there is neighborhood support for the installation of speed cushions.
