Mill Avenue and Fifth Street

  • Date: 11/04/2024  (all day)

A closure will take place at the intersection of Fifth Street and Mill Avenue nightly on weekdays between Nov. 4 and 15.

The work will take place:

  • Nov. 4-8, from 7 p.m. - 5 a.m.
  • Nov. 11-15, from 7 p.m. – 5 a.m

The following transit detours will be in effect from Monday, November 4 through Friday, November 15.

  • 66 Southbound: Regular route to 5th St./Mill Ave.; continue west on 5th St. to Ash Ave.; south on Ash Ave. to University Dr.; east on University Dr. to Mill Ave.; south on Mill Ave.; continue regular route.
  • Orbit Jupiter Southbound: Regular route to 5th St./Mill Ave.; continue west on 5th St. to Ash Ave.; south on Ash Ave. to University Dr.; east on University Dr. to Mill Ave.; south on Mill Ave.; continue regular route.
  • Orbit Mercury Eastbound: Regular route to 5th St./Mill Ave.; continue west on 5th St. to Ash Ave.; south on Ash Ave. to University Dr.; east on University Dr. to Mill Ave.; continue east on University Dr.; continue regular route

Tempe, in conjunction with other valley cities, posts daily street restrictions on az511.gov. 

Posted street restrictions include:

  • Arterial streets affected at least 50 percent or more, like Rural Road or Southern Avenue
  • Full closures of arterial or collector streets.
