Join exhibiting artist Zybrena in a hands-on experience that focuses on positivity, healing and renewal. As part of the Reclaiming Hope: Afrofuturist Visions exhibition, Zybrena brings honesty and healthy self-expression to her portraits.
For this workshop, she references a Japanese art form called “kintsugi”, an old traditional method of repairing broken pottery with gold, thus giving something once broken a new beginning and unexpected beauty. Zybrena will share about her own work and journey as well as teach participants how to create kintsugi inspired bowls that tell a story themselves.
