La Voz de la Experiencia/The Voice of Experience
A Panel Discussion on César Chávez and his Connections to Valley Communities
As part of the “Extending a Hand” exhibit currently showcasing at the Tempe History Museum, the museum will be presenting “La Voz de la Experiencia/The Voice of Experience,” a panel discussion event where invited panelists will open a conversation of shared personal experiences related to the César’s Farm Labor Movement. Panelists will touch base on some of the historical notes believed to be significant and connected to the Valley and Arizona. Discussions may include possible needs in community archival processes, significant connections of artistic endeavors during this movement, shared experiences such as working as a farmworker, supporter, organizer, student, researcher, and other related activities. Join us in the Tempe History Museum’s Community Room for this free event.
