Explore all of the creative and cultural experiences the city has to offer at Tempe Center for the Arts, Tempe History Museum and Edna Vihel Arts Center. The Arts & Culture Division develops and manages the city's arts and culture programs and services including Tempe Community Arts and Tempe Public Art. Tempe is dedicated to enriching the lives of the local and extended community by providing life-long engagement through accessible cultural, social, and educational experiences.

Extending a Hand: Cesar Chavez an Arizona Connection

Friday, March 29, at 6 p.m.

Do you know that there is a direct connection between Cesar Chavez, Tempe, and state of Arizona? Tempe History Museum’s new featured exhibit highlights art and stories from some of the people who supported, worked with and were inspired by this important civil rights and farm labor leader.  Find out more during the opening reception for Extending a Hand: Cesar Chavez, an Arizona Connection, on Friday, March 29th from 6 -9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public; enjoy light food, music, performances, and the first chance to see the new exhibit. Tempe History Museum is located at 809 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ 85282.
