The Arts & Culture Division develops and manages the city's arts and culture programs and services including Tempe Community Arts and Tempe Public Art. Tempe is dedicated to enriching the lives of the local and extended community by providing life-long engagement through accessible cultural, social, and educational experiences.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: Going Beyond “I Have a Dream.”

The image of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has largely been limited to his 1963, March on Washington, "I Have a Dream" speech recited ad nauseam every third Monday in January. On this evening, however, we will review his least talked about but most pivotal years of his celebrated life, 1965-1968, and his audacious stand against the war in Vietnam.
