Welcome to the Tempe PD’s presentation of our pedestrian, cyclist, and scooter diversion program. This course is intended for you if:
- You were cited (given a ticket) for a civil traffic violation.
- Your citation was submitted to Tempe Municipal Court.
- At the time of citation, you were either a Pedestrian, a Cyclist, or you were operating an electric scooter or other form of transportation which does not require a driver’s license.
- You have not completed this diversion course for any other violations which occurred within the past 365 days (1 year), as counted from one violation date to another.
- You have already paid your Diversion Fee to the Tempe Municipal Court.
- There are more than 7 business days left until your assigned court date (contact Tempe Municipal Court for options if you cannot complete this course at least 7 business days prior to your court date).
Before you begin this course, please ensure you have a copy of your citation and have paid your diversion fee. You will need information from these documents upon completion of this course to receive credit.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive notification of completion. However, this completion is subject to a review of your quiz answers and verification of eligibility to attend. You will be notified via e-mail if your submission requires further verification. Final dismissal of charges is handled by the Tempe Municipal Court and dismissal is not final until court action is taken. Check with Tempe Municipal Court HERE to verify the status of your charge prior to your assigned court date.
