Annual Salary Range:
$105,890 - $140,834
$3,000 HIRING BONUS- Any candidate hired as a new employee for an IT position is eligible for a one-time hiring bonus. The first half, $1,500 will be paid upon completion of initial probationary period and the remaining $1,500 upon one year of full-time city employment.

DESCRIPTION
This Information Technology Supervisor will plan, organize and supervise the activities within the Project Management Office of the Information Technology Department; In addition to managing IT initiatives and projects, the IT PMO Supervisor leads the team of IT Project Managers by providing coaching, project specific guidance, and process and tools support. The PMO Supervisor works with executive stakeholders to help resolve project issues as they arise. The position plays a key role in managing vendor performance through contract review, negotiations, and communications. Finally, they assist in managing the project portfolio forecasting and tracking resource availability and demand.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise a team of project managers that oversee Information Technology projects for the City.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and technical expertise to the project management teams.
- Provide supervision for setting project priorities, work assignments, project scheduling and project quality performance review.
- Direct and monitor IT project work efforts and identify resources needs.
- Oversee project management processes and methodologies to ensure that projects are handled consistently, completed on time, within budget and meet quality and customer standards.
- Ensure adherence to the City’s IT project management methodology, tools and documented processes adopted by the IT Project Management team.
- Maintain and manage an IT projects portfolio using division specified PPM tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
Requires five (5) years of experience in one of the following areas of IT: Networking, IT Operations, Systems Administration, or Application Services, including one (1) year of supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Education:
Requires the equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration or Public Administration or a degree related to the core functions of this position.
The term “equivalent” means that directly related work experience exceeding the required work experience will substitute in equal time increments for college-level education, for example: one year of additional directly related work experience will substitute for one year of college education (30 credit hours).
Certification, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Possession of, or required to obtain within twelve (12) months of hire or promotion, Certification as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.
