Tempe collects weekly data from multiple departments to measure our homeless solutions progress. Weekly updates from our HOPE homeless outreach team, CARE 7 crisis response team, Tempe Police and Tempe Fire Medical Rescue can be found on a public dashboard at homeless-solutions.tempe.gov/pages/progress-indicators.

Strategic priorities

The Tempe City Council has set five priorities to ensure our city thrives. We track our progress on those priorities by collecting data on more than 100 performance measures and making it available on a public dashboard.

Among the priorities is enhancing the quality of life for all Tempe residents and workers. One measure of that progress is the city’s goal to end homelessness, meaning it is a rare, brief and one-time experience.

Five progress indicators guide our work, starting with ensuring that those experiencing homelessness are connected with housing and resources. Additionally, progress is being measured through decreases in the total number of unsheltered individuals, encampments and community reported concerns.

Please note: Weekly data updates that used to be available in PDF format on this page are now available on the public dashboard at homeless-solutions.tempe.gov/pages/progress-indicators
