TEMPE, Ariz. – The City of Tempe now offers even more opportunities for community members to explore class offerings thanks to a new partnership with Tempe High School.
Several classes will be offered at Tempe High School starting this Spring 2013 programming session, allowing for additional class opportunities, location variety and added resources for classes and programs.
Because of this unique partnership, Tempe has the ability to offer several cooking classes in Tempe High School’s new pro kitchen, which includes stainless-steel appliances, commercial ovens and flat-screen monitors which give close-up views of demonstrations. At-home chefs can learn a variety of techniques and recipes that range from Crème Brûlèe to crab puffs. These two-part classes are perfect for everyone from beginning bakers to cooking show aficionados.
A beginning level Martial Arts -Tai Chi class will also be held at Tempe High School. This class introduces participants to the practice of Tai Chai through the basics of body balance and deep breathing. Students will gain strength and improve posture and flexibility in this relaxing and rejuvenating class.
