Bus service in Tempe operates seven days a week from approximately 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., Monday through Saturday and from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. Most Tempe bus routes operate every 15 - 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Bus service is also available on all major holidays with service following Sunday schedules. Regular fare is $1.75 for one ride. Discount fares are available for people 65 and older, people with disabilities, Medicare card holders, and people 6 to 18. All Tempe buses are wheelchair accessible.

Tempe provides bus service on most arterial streets with fourteen local routes, five express routes, two free Flash routes, and five
Orbit neighborhood circulator routes. Tempe buses are wheelchair accessible and have bicycle racks accommodating up to three bicycles. Tempe buses, except Orbit, are alternatively fueled. The replacement Orbit fleet is planned to be liquid or compressed natural gas.
