TEMPE, Ariz. –
Throughout October, the City of Tempe gives families good reason to skip the theaters on Friday nights and instead head to Kiwanis Park, Mill Avenue and All-America Way, to catch a free flick under the stars at the popular Movies in the Park family movies series.
Families and friends can bring blankets and a picnic dinner to watch the following films on one of the largest inflatable screens in Arizona. Each movie begins at dusk (approximately 6 p.m.) on the west side of Kiwanis Lake near the fire pit.
Oct. 5 – The Lorax, PG
Oct. 12 – Big Miracle, PG
Oct. 19 – A Turtle’s Tale, G
Oct. 26 – Scooby Doo: Music of the Vampire, G
Wrangler News will once again offer a weekly Movies in the Park coloring contest for children 12 and under, with prizes donated by local businesses. Participants can find coloring pages with contest instructions at each movie, in the Wrangler News newspaper or online at www.wranglernews.com..
