U.S. Navy Veteran, Monica Pedraza came to the East Valley Veterans Education Center (EVVEC) hoping for some job search assistance. She was immediately placed on their job lead distribution list and realized how many jobs she was qualified for. After two weeks of receiving leads, she landed an interview with Mesa Community College as an administrative assistant. She mentioned she was very nervous about it and the center scheduled her a mock interview with a career counselor. Through her hard work and focus, Monica landed the job. She will continue to use the center when needed and is very happy that the EVVEC is a place where veterans can look for work and apply for jobs in a great environment.
