Pyle Adult Recreation Center brings health resources to adults and seniors

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Pyle Adult Recreation Center, 655 E. Southern Ave., invites adults and seniors to explore and experience community resources at the free Senior Health & Wellness Expo.

From 8 a.m.-Noon on Thursday, April 11, participants will have the opportunity to discover services offered by more than 50 companies while enjoying free health screenings, demonstrations, healthy resources, a light breakfast and prize drawings.

The health screenings include:
• Blood pressure checks provided by Fellowship Square
• Hearing screenings provided by Valley ENT
• Cholesterol and blood glucose screenings (must fast before) provided by Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital

Mind, Body & Balance and the Arizona School of Massage Therapy will be providing free chair massages. Participants are invited to take part in a short Zumba class demonstration and observe other exercise classes.
