On Saturday, January 19, 2013 three subjects entered the Discount Appliance, located at 2424 W. University Drive, Tempe in an attempt to rob the store. During the course of the robbery a store employee sustained a gunshot wound. The victim received serious injury and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The suspects fled the area and were not located at the time of the incident.
Tempe Police Detectives began working the case the night of the robbery and worked extremely hard in identifying and locating all three suspects. With the assistance of the public Tempe Detectives arrested Gary Beckstead (DOB: 09/25/1968), Charles Eaton (DOB: 02/01/1981), and Christopher Ridgway (DOB: 02/19/1979) who were identified as the suspects in this robbery/shooting.
