Swim Lessons & Water Fitness Classes
The City of Tempe Community Services Department provides a progressive swim lesson program for students who wish to learn or improve theirswimming skills. This program is based upon the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Program.
Water fitness classes incorporate warm-ups, 25-40 minutes of aerobic exercise, a cool-down period and exercises to tone and strengthen muscles. No swimming ability required.

Swimming Pools
The City of Tempe operates two public swimming pools. An indoor Wave Pool at the Kiwanis Recreation Center and an outdoor pool at the Escalante Community Center.

Tempe Beach Park Splash Park
Visitors to Tempe Town Lake can experience a small storm, even when the weather is sunny and warm. Splash Playground at Tempe Beach Park lets children cool off and have fun at Tempe Town Lake.

Neighborhood Splash Pads
The City of Tempe has three neighborhood splash pads located in Esquer Park, Hudson Park and Jaycee Park. All splash pads are open during the summer months from 10:00am-7:00pm.

Aquatic Positions
The City of Tempe Aquatics department is looking for responsible, motivated, and dedicated individuals age 15 and older to fill summer lifeguard positions. If you like challenges, then Freestyle wants YOU!
