About Councilmember Arredondo-Savage

Robin Arredondo-Savage is a lifelong resident of Tempe with a history of strong leadership and active involvement in our community. She knows that Tempe’s strength is in its residents as well as the small town feel of our safe and friendly neighborhoods.

Arredondo-Savage has worked diligently for our community, families and children. She was raised in Tempe and graduated from McClintock High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University. Arredondo-Savage is also a U.S. Army Veteran and an advocate for veteran services.

Arredondo-Savage served on the Tempe Union High School District Governing Board for eight years including two years as President of the Board. A 21-year Tempe small business manager and previously Chairman of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, Arredondo-Savage has shown a commitment to the development of jobs and economic growth in Tempe.

Arredondo-Savage was elected to the Tempe City Council in March 2010. She is the co-chair of the Economic, Lake, Downtown and Advanced Transportation Council Committee and was appointed in 2011 to the National League of Cities (NLC) Public Safety and Crime Prevention Committee and the Youth, Education and Families Institute. She is also a member of the NLC Hispanic Elected Local Officials organization.

Arredondo-Savage is an advocate for fiscally responsible and responsive city government designed to protect Tempe’s unique quality of life. She is committed to ensuring public safety and to protecting the wise investments made in our Tempe community, including parks and recreation programs for all ages, neighborhoods and schools.
Arredondo-Savage has been married to Chris Savage for 17 years and they have two sons, Joey and Jaren.
