Disposal of surplus or excess materials and supplies

Surplus or excess materials may be offered for sale or lease through competitive sealed bidding, spot bidding, trade-in, sale at posted prices, auction, negotiated sale, trade to another public entity, retail sales outlet, or transferred for public purpose as designated by city rules, regulations and processes.

The City currently uses Sierra Auction to sell the majority of its surplus property, however, the City also may utilize other available methods to derive the highest value for the City.  A visit to Sierra's website will allow you to preview the items available for sale - this will include not only Tempe items but items gathered from other firms and municipalities.

If you would like be notified of City initiated surplus sales you should register with the City so that you will receive automatic notification of those opportunities.
