From House Calls to Hospitals

Visit our new exhibit that features the history of medicine in Tempe. Practicing medicine in Tempe has changed radically since the late 19th Century, evolving from folk or home remedies to Tempe’s first true hospital, which opened in the mid-20th Century. The exhibit highlights medical instruments, photos and artifacts that showcase how medicine has changed over the last 200 years.
