To help us provide the most efficient service, please follow these requirements:
- Do place all items that will not be recycled in a waterproof plastic bag and seal it properly and place in container, as required by the Maricopa County Health Department, to prevent fly breeding.
- Do not move containers, only authorized sanitation employees may move containers.
- Do not turn containers, refuse may be spilled or containers may not be emptied.
- Do not overfill containers.
- Do use the nearest container. If that one is full, use the next nearest one.
- Do keep lids closed on the containers.
- Do not place excess yard trimming grass, leaves, palm fronds, or tree limbs in the container. Proper placement for collection is along your own fence line.
- Do not litter the alley with animal waste. Wrap in a paper or plastic bag and place in the container.
- Do not allow the alley to become littered with garbage.
Non-collectable items include:
- Construction materials
- Lumber
- Shingles
- Brick
- Rock
- Concrete
- Landscape materials
- Dirt
- Sod
- Sand
- Auto parts
- Appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, washer, microwaves, televisions, dryers, dishwashers, and water heaters can by recyled or repurposed using these businesses or by dropping them off at the HPCC during operating hours
- Motor oil and hazardous materials - Please take to the HPCC
