City of Tempe Municipal Volunteer Program

Tempe Town Lake, Hayden Butte, Urban Park Landscape Projects
The City of Tempe welcomes community projects in its urban areas including parks and bike paths. Examples of past projects include counting and inventorying trees in Tempe parks, power washing and painting park ramadas, building and installing fish habitats in park lakes, planting trees, creating alley borders, weeding and trash removal, raking granite, replacing missing or dead plants, and maintaining bike paths. Weekday and weekend projects for groups of all sizes are available by contacting Denise Brewer at 480-350-8409.

Graffiti Removal Projects
Projects may be available for groups to work together to remove graffiti from large areas. Projects are designed to fit group size and City needs. Contact Jodie Garth at 480-350-5190 regarding possible removal projects.

Recycling Projects
Volunteers are utilized for several recycling drop-off days as well as in the city's ERIC (Education Information Recycling Center) bus throughout the year. Check under "One-time Projects" for upcoming activities or call Rebecca Orta at 480-350-8163.
