Catherine Hammond welcomes professional poets and leads stimulating discussions in celebration of National Poetry Month.

Catherine Hammond is the founder and moderator for Tempe Poetry in April. Her poetry translations from the Spanish appear in American Poetry Review, Drunken Boat, Field, Hayden's Ferry Review, Words without Borders and many other literary magazines. Her chapbook from Mid-American Review features the work of Olvido Garcia Valdés, winner of Spain's Primo Nacional, 2007. She currently is translating Mexican poet Carmen Boullosa. Her own poetry has been anthologized in Fever Dreams: Contemporary Arizona Poetry, MARGIN: Exploring Modern Magical Realism and in Yellow Silk II. Hammond has three Pushcart nominations.
