Escalante Membership Info


The Escalante Center is a multi-generational facility with programs for students of all ages:

  • Early Childhood Education and programs for toddlers, ages 3 to 5.
  • After-school program (school days), drop-in programs, computer lab, youth center, teen area and gym time for youth, ages 6 to 17.
  • Fitness area and computer lab for adults, ages 18 and up.
  • Senior Center activities, fitness programs and lunches (see Senior Center schedule), ages 55 and up. 


Monday-Thursday, 3-8pm
Friday, 11am-8pm
Saturday, 10am-5pm
Sunday, 1pm-6pm

Adult/Senior Computer Membership (18+)

To register for a FREE membership with the Escalante Community Center and a City of Tempe Library card (for internet access) you will need to bring in the following information:

  1. valid identification with photo*
  2. verification of current residential address** (PO boxes are not accepted)
  3. completed Escalante Center Membership Form
  4. completed Tempe Public Library Form (for internet access). 

* Photo identification accepted:

State issued driver’s license

State issued identification

School i.d. (w/date of birth)

Things to remember:

  • The Escalante Center hosts a drop-in program for youth, adults and seniors ages 6 and up.
  • Parents (or guardians with parent-consenting paperwork) can register youth (ages 6 to 17) in-person to receive a FREE membership for their child.
  • Parents must provide a copy of their child’s birth certificate for youth, age 6.
  • Children of all ages can obtain a FREE City of Tempe Library card.
  • There is a $2 replacement fee for any lost/stolen City of Tempe Library Card.
