The Arizona Wind Symphony (AWS) plays a wide variety of music, including
marches, Broadway and film tunes, overtures, dances, contemporary symphonic
wind music and more. AWS is a 75-member community concert ensemble,
consisting of music professionals, non-professionals and students.
This new play, adapted from a Newbery Honor book, is poignant, uplifting and funny by turns as it traces a family’s journey of acceptance and understanding in the face of loss. recommended for ages seven and older. Steinway pianist Walter Cosand joins the Tempe Symphony Orchestra in opening its 34th season under the direction of
Dr. Richard Strange. Cosand will perform Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1 in
Eb. The orchestra will play selections from Brahms and Prokofiev, as
